Day Five

Today was our day off. We drove to civilization (meaning the nearest actual town with a traffic light or two). We went to the original Kentucky Fried Chicken. Now, I can safely confirm that KFC is indeed from Kentucky. We read about Colonel Sanders and took pictures, and of course sampled some of his famous chicken. Liz's iPhone got dropped in a container of gravy, but it survived.

After lunch, we went to a local bowling alley to bowl. We also played pool while we were there. It was really awesome. A few adults left to see some famous waterfalls, which I heard were beautiful.

Once everyone reconvened, we stopped at Walmart to shop around. It was awesome. Afterwords, we went to Bubby's Barbecue for dinner. It was a local barbecue restaurant. It was rather good, and everyone enjoyed the meal. Then, we had to drive the hour and twenty minutes (give or take) back to Red Bird.

The day was great. Everyone got along and enjoyed the time off. I personally was never so happy to see a Walmart before in my life.

Tomorrow, the work continues. I believe I speak for everyone when I say that we're looking forward to it.

Until tomorrow
